ShoutCast Suite for Php-Nuke
|
US $15.00
|
Glowdot Productions have committed the past 3 months to developing our latest application-specific CMS, the ShoutCast Suite of Tools for Php-Nuke.
The suite has been in use at Glowdot since December, 2003 and has been running completely error-free since, helping the Dreamscape Radio programmers to efficiently and easily administer a playlist of over 1000 songs!!!.
The Suite includes the following:
- A Now Playing block which displays:
- The currently playing artist and song title.
- The current number of listeners.
- Links to start the stream.
- The current songs album cover (if available. A default image otherwise)
- A link to Amazon (if available. Nothing otherwise).
- See it in action @ Glowdot
- A Stream Status module which displays:
- Everything in the block.
- The last 10 songs played, with search links to Amazon.
- The album title (if available).
- Notes about the track.
- Label information.
- The current date and time.
- The total number of hits the server has received.
- The average time users listen to your stream.
- See it in action @ Glowdot
- An Amazon block that pulls a random track from your database, and presents a link and image to the
appropriate Amazon page.
- An Administrative block (see below for details).
Now, ShoutCast administrators operating under the Php-Nuke CMS can easily:
- Upload mp3 files to their site, even if the mp3 folder is outside of the webspace
(which it should be).
- Delete or rename existing files, even if the mp3 folder is outside of the webspace
(which, again, it should be).
- Add or remove available MP3s from their playlist.
- Upload album covers to their images directory.
- Assign information for each track:
- Album cover
- Album Title
- Amazon ASIN
- Notes
- Record Label
- Retrieve MP3s from your MP3 folder through a simple web interface,
even if the mp3 folder is outside of the webspace
(which, eh, it should be).
Currently, the SC Suite only supports one ShoutCast server, but it can be modified to accomodate the following configurations:
- Multiple ShoutCast streams with their own playlists (difficult)
- Multiple ShoutCast streams sharing a playlist (very easy)
Such modifications are the responsibility of the user, and are not officially supported by Glowdot in this release (although they may be in future releases). Instructions for such modifications will be available in the forums shortly.
Also, upgrades are free for all versions before version 2.0 (i.e. 1.0-1.999). The following additions are planned for inclusion before version 2.0 (so if you buy now, you get this too, when available):
- Transcoder functions:
- Ability to start/stop/restart transcoder from within Nuke Admin.
- Ability to reload playlist from within Nuke Admin.
- Support for unfriendly characters in MP3 titles (currently, characters such as &, #, @, etc are not supported,
although they may work on your system).
- Any minor user complaints that should arise.
PLEASE post any questions in the forums, or use the feedback form!!! We happily answer your questions!!!
